Almond Butter Oatmeal Bars Recipe (with Collagen!)

Looking for a healthy, energizing snack with some collagen, or even a great breakfast bar? Want a chewier granola bar with performance fats and some natural sweetness? These almond butter oatmeal bars will fill all of those needs.
The issue with most oatmeal bar recipes is too much sugar, while overall just being too many carbohydrates in comparison to fat and protein. These almond butter oatmeal bars only have 6 grams of sugar per bar, plus they're extremely well balanced with 18 grams of carbs, 13 grams of fat and 7 grams of protein.
As a result, these are perfectly constructed no-bake energy bars that should keep you going for hours, and they also work well after a workout. (In the category is our carrot oatmeal breakfast cake recipe.)
This excellent nutritional profile didn't arrive by accident. Instead, it came via these healthy ingredients that blend very well together to create these no-bake oatmeal bars.
Gluten-free oats: A source of soluble fiber, oats can help naturally lower cholesterol when eaten regularly.
Almonds and almond butter: Almonds are rich in protein, fiber, calcium, iron and many other essential nutrients
Multi Collagen Protein: With 10 types of collagen from four sources, this clinically studied protein powder supports healthy hair, skin, nails, joints and your gut.
Maple syrup: One of the best natural sweeteners, maple syrup also supplies nutrients and helps to make recipes taste great.
With just six ingredients, these oatmeal bars are incredibly easy to make. And with almond butter, they're better for you than rival peanut butter oatmeal bars.
In a medium bowl, mix together all of the ingredients except for the collagen until well combined.
Next, mix the collagen in slowly. Pour mixture into a greased loaf pan.
Simply refrigerate for one to two hours, and then cut into bar or cookie shapes. Store in the refrigerator or freezer. Consume within two weeks if in the fridge.
