Health-Minded Hot Chocolate, Plus High in Protein

There's nothing better on a cold night than a cup of hot chocolate, just as long as it's not a sickly sweet, hot liquid version of a chocolate candy bar. Instead, you deserve one with a more balanced flavor that leans more towards chocolate than sweet, while also filling you with some protein. This one delivers.
The key? Use Bone Broth Protein Chocolate, which turns this beverage into a superfood hot chocolate. Bone Broth Protein is a nourishing, concentrated bone broth that is three as potent (in terms of protein) as homemade broth and makes it easy to get healthy gut, joint and inflammation support. It also makes for a great drink to have before you wind down for bed.
In a medium pot or kettle, heat up the water until it's hot but not boiling. If you use a milk like almond milk, coconut milk or a dairy variety, use a pot and make sure it doesn't get too hot and scald.
Once it's hot, add to a blender along with one scoop of Bone Broth Protein Chocolate and one tablespoon of maple syrup. Want less sugar? Just add a little monk fruit instead.
Blend up into it's mixed well and pour into a mug. Enjoy by itself or add some whipped coconut cream on top.
Use coconut milk (light variety, as regular coconut milk to too high in fat) or a dairy milk like Fairlife (which would add more protein, too).
Use a few squares of a 70 or 85 percent cacao chocolate bar and melt in the pot with the water or milk. Also add a tablespoon of raw cacao powder for more of that chocolate taste and antioxidants. Lastly, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Winter Buddha Bowl That's Loaded with Nutrients
During wintertime, there's less overall enthusiasm for a salad for obvious reasons: less fresh ingredients, salad is a cold dish and most of us prefer warm dishes during the cold weather months, etc. (Speaking of, you should still try our butternut squash salad, as that is a warm salad!)
