Protein Fig Bars Recipe, with Bone Broth Protein

Looking for the perfect recipe to use up the dried figs you've been storing? These 5-ingredient homemade fig bars require no baking, and they're a healthy, gluten-free treat to take on-the-go!
Performance fats come via the almond butter while the protein is delivered from Bone Broth Protein, which delivers the benefits of traditional bone broth like joint, skin and gut support in a sweet, feel-good flavor. (You can also substitute Collagen Peptides Vanilla.)
Why do these make a perfect snack? Because this almond fig bars recipe offers a balanced macronutrient bar, with 15 grams of carbs, 10 grams of protein and 12 grams of fat. It'll help power you through a workout or finish a long workday.
A great gluten-free, Paleo snack that come in handy any time of day, these almond fig bars are also surprisingly easy to make.
First, line an 8x8 baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Cut the stems off the dried figs. Then add all the ingredients to a food processor and blend until the "dough" starts to form into a ball.
Remove from the food processor and press the mixture into the pan. Put in the refrigerator for two ours, or until the bars set.
Remove from fridge and cut into 12 squares. Store in fridge when not serving.

1 cup dried figs
1 cup almond butter
1 tablespoon flax meal
2 scoops Bone Broth Protein Vanilla (or Collagen Peptides Vanilla)
2 tablespoons raw honey
Line an 8x8 baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Add all the ingredients to a food processor and blend until dough starts to form into a ball.
Press the dough evenly into the pan and refrigerate for 2 hours, or until bars set.
Cut into squares and store in an airtight container.
